Yesterday, it snowed in Maryland. It was the day before my flight to Manila. I didn’t think I’d still get to experience snow during the break. My brother told me the weather had been comparably warmer when I arrived, and they weren’t sure if it was still going to snow like it did days before I arrived. But it did, just before I left. 🙂 I’ve seen snow a long time ago, when my cousin drove my sister and me to Nevada during one of our U.S. vacations. My sister and I learned to ski for an hour. Second time was when I was in high school, when we stopped over at a snow-covered area on a long drive to Reno. And when I was in Grade 5, SM Megamall had this simulated snow playground inside the mall. We had to pay to see ice sculptures and step on an inch of fake snow in a small area that could fit around 5 people. Hehe.
The snow that I witnessed yesterday and this morning was just breathtaking. Naturally, the kids (me included hehe) went outside to play. Benjo took out his board and Toby and Sophie prepared their ammunition for a snowball fight (turns out the snow was not yet deep enough and Toby ended up scooping up soil hehe). My brother, sister-in-law and I went out for a short walk, the same area where we tried to look for deer during our vaction there in spring last year. I would’ve stayed longer outside and took more photos if it wasn’t too cold. But I’m happy with the photos I took of my family. Hope I can see this again in the future. 🙂
*Thank you to Sophie, Benjo and my brother for taking photos of me 😛
