Last week, I was in Boracay for a wedding shoot with the wonderful couple, Jay Jay Lucas and Feliz Lucas, of Chestknot Studios, on my last shoot ever with Imagine Nation Studios. It had been raining constantly the past few days so we felt blessed that it was bright and sunny (and hot and humid haha) on the day of the wedding. (Post on the wedding to follow, promise 😀 )
A few days before the trip, I realized I inadvertently booked myself for an extra night at the beach. The wedding was on Saturday, and I was flying back on Monday, leaving me with the entire Sunday night and Monday morning with nothing to do in Boracay. I didn’t know where I was staying for my last night. Anyway, quite unexpectedly, I ended up staying at the Seawind Resort, with a nice, big room all to myself:
I’ve never considered traveling alone, but last week, I found myself doing just that. It wasn’t so bad after all. For the rest of the Sunday afternoon, I took photos of the resort, had a massage by the beach, went swimming, read a book, listened to my iPod. It surely beats being home alone on a lazy weekend, doing nothing but surf aimlessly on the net until dawn.
The resort at night:
Of course, dessert is mandatory:
I decided to stay in my room that night and watch downloaded episodes of Big Bang Theory. I had a hard time sleeping; it was my first time to sleep alone in a hotel room in a remote area. So I watched Vice Ganda’s show and the entire episode of Tapatan before finally getting to sleep. Hehe. I fell asleep at 1 am then woke up at 6:30.
It was raining then. I wanted to run, but I just decided to walk. Then I went swimming. Then, had a lovely breakfast:
Seawind Resort, I shall be back. 🙂
Thank you to the Cocjin family and the staff of Seawind Resort for their generosity and hospitality. It was the best unplanned vacation ever 🙂
