En route to Las Vegas from LA
While I was in the car, I took two photos of the sunset on one side of the vehicle and the moon on the other. I put them side by side using the photo editor and came up with the photo above.
This year, we spent the past two days of Holy Week at home. We’re on “staycation” (or isteykasyon, as Mike Enriquez would put it :)) ). I practically stayed inside my room and watched movies and edited photos.
I remember growing up and spending Holy Week at the province almost every year. We would go to my grandparents’ house in La Union and from there, travel to Baguio or Vigan. I hated going there when I was in late grade school/early high school, but I appreciated it again when I was in college. At some point, it got too tedious and we just decided to spend the holidays here. One summer, I went with my sister’s family in Boracay. There were Good Fridays I spent with some friends who decided to stay in Manila as well. Last year was the weirdest Good Friday we had so far. While everyone else was visiting churches (or having a grand time in Boracay), ironically, we spent it in the sin city – Las Vegas. Normal girls I know would go there with their friends to have fun and get wasted, but I went there with family members, with two seniors and four minors.
These are some photos I took on the long drive from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. It stretched on like this for hours:
Stopover at Starbucks for restroom break. This is where my sister bought her nth Starbucks mug:
If you look closely, the blurred sign says, “Do not bear false witness.”
Reached Las Vegas, finally:
In-n-out burgers and fries for late dinner:
